On-time arrivals, on-time departures and completion rates across the industry as a whole lagged long-term averages in a month that Airservices Australia has noted was better than the same time last year, but “impacted by severe winter weather conditions such as fog and strong winds”.

IATA will be looking for next week’s Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to lift the age from 65 to 67, after it was last increased from 60 in 2006. The peak airline body says this move “reflects longer, healthier careers while keeping safety safeguards in place”.
The funding will include $3 million into improving passenger facilities such as seating capacity and observation decks, $32 million towards commercial tenancies in the Milton Precinct, $20 million in runway overlay renovations, and $3 million in car park facilities.
