The proposal would see up to 20 per cent of Hudson’s total share rights under the Qantas long-term incentive program vest based on the Flying Kangaroo’s reputation score, as tracked by external firm RepTrak. The Qantas board is also raising her salary from $1.65 million to $1.7 million.

The exercise, which wrapped up last month, involved collective training and offensive counter air activity at bases Tindal and Darwin, including live weapon drops at the Delamere Air Weapons Range and co-ordination with the Surveillance and Control Training Unit at Base Williamtown.

The international terminal, which expands the airport to eight gates including its first aerobridge, will more than double Newcastle’s capacity and allow for more international traffic, including an upcoming Jetstar service to Bali.

This Friday has seen a forecast total of 82,779 passengers transit through the airport, a record driven by both the AFL and NRL finals and the start of school holidays in NSW. Around three-quarters of the passengers are domestic travellers.
