Rolls-Royce has been awarded a C$70m (A$m) contract by Lockheed Martin to provide in-service support for the engines on the Canadian Forces’ new fleet of CC-130J Hercules transports. The six year contract will see RR provide logistical support to Lockheed Martin for the fleet’s AE 2100D3 engines, and depot level maintenance in partnership with StandardAero.

The USAF Global Hawk Block 40 has completed envelope expansion flight testing at its Edwards AFB test facility. The Block 40 has been designed to operate with the Multi-Platform Radar Technology Insertion Program (MP-RTIP) sensor installed in a large ‘canoe’ fairing on the aircraft’s lower fuselage.
