ENISA said it knows the type of ransomware employed, but has not shared any details of the threat actor behind the incident. While there has been some speculation that hackers linked to the Scattered Spider collective may be behind the attack, no actor has yet claimed responsibility.
In a statement on Monday, Airport Authority Hong Kong said Hong Kong International Airport will stay open, though there will be “significant disruption to flight operations” starting at 6pm local time on Tuesday.
A cyber attack targeting Collins Aerospace, the maker of boarding and check-in systems used by a raft of major European airports, led to widespread disruptions, flight cancellations, and hundreds of late flights over the weekend.
SkyBus, owned by Kinetic, is deploying a fleet of 40 buses in Sydney to mark its expansion into the city, having provided services at Melbourne Airport since 1978. The company also operates at Avalon Airport, Adelaide Airport, Hobart Airport and Auckland Airport.
The funding will include $3 million into improving passenger facilities such as seating capacity and observation decks, $32 million towards commercial tenancies in the Milton Precinct, $20 million in runway overlay renovations, and $3 million in car park facilities.
The airport expects Australia to be its top international destination both inbound and outbound over the school holiday period, with other top markets including China, Fiji and the US. The country’s total international capacity is still 9 per cent below 2019.
