Australia's airlines recorded their worst-ever month for flight delays and cancellations in June, surpassing the previous record-low result set just two months earlier during the Easter holidays in April.
It comes as Heathrow told airlines to “stop selling summer tickets” up until 11 September to deal with staff shortages.
Senior executive Andrew David has admitted the airline is “absolutely not delivering” on service but argued its problems are being replicated around the world.

The Malaysian budget airline will fly three-times-weekly services to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Auckland before increasing to a daily schedule by the first quarter of 2023.
