The draft proposal, which can be viewed online, will hold airlines to “minimum standards” of consumer protection, according to Transport Minister Catherine King, which would include prompt refunds, accommodation, transport, and meal vouchers when needed.

The man aged in his 40s suffered injuries to his head and chest after being hit by a towing vehicle at the Qantas international freight terminal at around 10:30 on Sunday morning, and could not be revived. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
