To celebrate the milestone, all 180 passengers on the flight were presented with a $20 voucher, while Tigerair has launched a ‘20,000 one way fares for $20’ sale for flights on its domestic network between late January and late March 2017.
“The 20 millionth passenger milestone is a significant achievement for Tigerair Australia which commenced operations in Australia in November 2007,” said Tigerair Australia CEO Rob Sharp, who was onboard the Melbourne-Adelaide flight.
“Tigerair Australia continues to go from strength to strength,” he said.
It seems Rob Sharpe has shaped Tigerair into a real LCC that is a real threat to Jetstar Aust, and certain short haul O/S competitors ie., Air Asia X Indonesia..
TT will be a money maker for Virgin if certain Head Office Management can keep their hands off running this Airline, Rob is doing a great job, and TT will continue to grow under his guidance.

I have been really impressed with TT on my recent flights with them. They definitely offer a competitive product, which I personally find better than Australia’s other low cost airline. I’ve always had friendly staff and on time flights, which can’t be said for my experiences on JQ lately. I also find that TT are good value for money. Hopefully they’ll start expanding to more destinations, which I for one would certainly appreciate and support. It would be good to see them back at Alice Springs, Canberra, Launceston & Maroochydore.
