Airline Profile – Hazelton Airlines
The air transport industry in New South Wales according to Max Hazelton has a good future.
Despite a drastic curtailment of regional operations in 1991, his airline, which started services some 40 years ago, has enjoyed incredible growth and popularity as “The Big Country Airline”. However, Hazelton Airlines is climbing out of the doldrums of the recessionary climate only to face obstacles which, by Max Hazelton’s summation, are the result of Government misdirection in the handling of intrastate deregulation.
In fact, he personally believes that full deregulation in New South Wales will not happen due to what has already occurred in his home state, and overseas where vast numbers of operators have run into financially troubled waters.
