Two appointments at Ansett see Barry Robinson become General Staff Manager, and Ron Entsch become the new General Operations Manager. Mr KWLiu has taken up the position of District Manager Queensland/Papua New Guinea for Malaysia Airlines. Restructuring of Qantas’ Australian sales division seen a number of key appointments, with John Borghetti becoming Passenger Sales Director, Australia; Jennifer Wiis National Commercial Account Manager, and Brett McDougall National Retail Sales Manager.

Air New Zealand has reported consolidated profit for the year to June 30 1993 of $NZ139. 5m ($A116m), an improvement of 21% on the previous year’s result on total group revenue of $NZ2. 3bn ($A2. 8bn). Airways Corporation of New Zealand has achieved an after tax and abnormal profit of $NZ11m.
