Last month I promised to write about computers and equipment needed to run the advanced flight simulator software that has been reviewed in Australian Aviation over the past few months.
There are many options, depending mainly on the depth of your pocket. I will try to present a single view that provides good technical support while not breaking the bank. If you spend less, performance will be reduced, spend more and cost effectiveness can be quickly compromised.
This article will discuss IBM compatible systems though other computer manufacturers such as Apple and Commodore Amiga also have computers that are effective platforms for flight simulation.
