written by Adam Thorn | April 22, 2024

Over 75 up-and-comers of the defence and national security workforce have made history by qualifying as the first group of finalists at the awards.

The maiden Defence & National Security Workforce Awards 2024 launched this year with support from principal partner Attura to celebrate the trailblazing initiatives by young professionals under 35 years of age who have energised the industry with innovative workforce programs.

The black-tie event will showcase the depth of talent in the defence and national security sectors, as well as those workforce initiatives that are transforming the way security professionals operate as Australia prepares to embark on a period of rapid technological transformation.

A total of 79 finalists have been chosen to compete across 16 individual and group categories this year.

The winners will be determined by a panel of well-respected judges that comprises former senior Australian Defence Force (ADF) leaders, academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Click here to view the methodology.

Winners will be announced at the Defence & National Security Workforce Awards 2024 on Wednesday, 12 June 2024 at the Four Seasons in Sydney.
