Opinion: COVID blunted Gen Z applicants’ social skills

Bringing parents to job interviews? Before you think that wouldn’t happen here, think again. As we stride into 2024, aviation is finally looking somewhat normal, with stiff competition for most jobs returning. With that in mind, it is just as important that we ensure our up-and-coming workforce is ready to compete for roles at a high standard.

A recent survey by Intelligent.com describes how nearly 20 per cent of Gen Z jobseekers are bringing mum or dad to their job interview. That data has been picked up by FOX, News.com, the NY Post, Business Insider and more. You might think this would not occur in the aviation space, but I can tell you it does.
