From redundancy to a government job
Pilot E is articulate, always on the front foot and has an ‘I’ll do what it takes’ approach. The perfect person to nicely cajole into helping me pull this 2020 ‘pilot to non-flying job’ piece together.
Pilot E, like so many thousands, is redundant. He is out there every day, pushing himself to gain new employment. Several months on, his ‘can do’ attitude is slightly tempered by the mildly battered realist in him following multiple attempts to get through to non-aviation employers. He has short-term work but the future is still unknown.
