TRAVOLTA ARRIVES MINUS B707
Minus his famous hair and minus the Boeing 707, John Travolta arrived at Adelaide in a private jet on October 31.The famous actor was in Adelaide for several non-aviation functions, but the Boeing 707 that he has donated to the Historic Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) was still at Brunswick in the US state of Georgia.
It had been intended that Travolta would fly the aircraft to Australia in November and hand it over to HARS at Albion Park. Unfortunately, due to various issues including funding, engineering and obtaining all the correct permits, the aircraft could not be made ready in time for Travolta’s trip . The aircraft’s flight ‘home’ is now planned for 2020.
