Delivered on December 19 1961 this was the last Australian-built Sabre. After withdrawal from RAAF service it was refurbished and gifted to the Royal Malaysian Air Force in August 1969. eric allen
The North American Sabre achieved legendary status through its combat record in the Korean War. With a success combat rate ratio of about 10:1 over its MiG-15 adversary, the Sabre established itself as a very formidable jet fighter.
