Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce’s reaction to a now famous pie-throwing incident at a business breakfast in Perth on May 9 highlights the remarkable resilience of the man and his ability to bounce back quickly and stronger than before. So says Professor Gary Martin, chief executive of the Australian Institute of Management, WA, who attended the West Business breakfast to hear Joyce formally launch the airline’s new Perth to London Boeing 787 service.
