A new retro roo to celebrate its 95th birthday is further evidence of a new skip in the step of the Flying Kangaroo
It was called the hottest ticket in town by one wag referring not so much to Qantas’s 95th black tie birthday bash but the 41. 9 degree temperature that greeted guests at Hangar 96 at Sydney’s Kingsford Smith airport.
But in fact it was a hot invitation to get, for it is not every day you are invited to such a momentous celebration for the world’s longest continually operating and most experienced airline – as approved by the British Advertising Standards Association in a 2008 ruling.
