The maiden flight of the Scaled Composites Model 311 Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer, N277SF, took place from Mojave Airport, California on March 5.
Designed by Burt Rutan, the aircraft is planned to be used for the first solo, non-stop, around-the-world flight flown by Steve Fossett.
