BAE Systems Australia has signed a five year contract extension with the Boeing defence Australia to provide in-service support to the RAAF’s E-7A Wedgetail AEW&C fleet’s electronic warfare systems.
Now running to mid-2019, the contract will provide engineering, maintenance and spares support work for 35 technicians and staff for the ALR-2001 electronic support measures (ESM) system at its Adelaide site under the contract from prime contractor, Boeing Defence Australia.

The ALR-2001 used in the E-7 was developed from a similar ESM system used by the RAAF’s AP-3C Orion fleet.
