Airbus says its A350 static test airframe successfully completed ultimate load wing testing in December, where the wing was subjected to loads 1.5 times greater than those it could expect in service, and where the wintip deflection exceeded five metres.
Airbus says ultimate loading testing on the A350 fueselage was completed earlier in December.

On Monday Airbus CEO Fabrice Bregier confirmed Airbus expected to deliver the first A350 to launch customer Qatar Airways by the end of December this year, with certification on track for the end of September.
