Skyforce
For the good, the bad and the ugly
When a BAe146QC arrived in Australia in April, it sent a flurry of excitement through aficionados. The arrival of the aircraft, formerly operated by Titan Airways in the UK for passenger and freight charters and previously with Ansett New Zealand, begged the question as to what its future role would be in Australia.
The 146 was quickly traced to industry veteran Steve Ferris, owner of International Air Parts (IAP), a firm specializing in aircraft maintenance, sales and leasing, and part of a broader portfolio of interests including regional airline operations. Australian Aviation contacted him to discover what the future held for the imaginatively-painted 146.
