Philippine Airlines starts new Australian services

Philippine Airlines has commenced new flights to Perth, Darwin and Brisbane in its biggest ever expansion of Australian services.

The carrier’s first service to Perth arrived June 3, with four flights scheduled weekly between Western Australia and Manila. Meanwhile inaugural services to Darwin and new flights to Brisbane have begun, with daily flights scheduled to the Northern Territory capital, along with flights to Brisbane three times a week. The new services come on top of the national carrier’s existing Sydney and Melbourne connections.

Philippine Airlines now operates 7,400 seats a week on its routes to five Australian cities, making it the largest carrier between the Philippines and Australia. The new frequencies will benefit the 300,000 Filipinos who live in Australia and the 5,000 Australian expatriates in the Philippines as well as the many holidaymakers travelling between the countries.

Fares for the new services are priced from $392 return from Darwin, $520 return from Perth and $543 return from Brisbane.
