How the world’s airlines have evolved

The only sure thing in aviation is change. Perhaps the only difference this time with the rise and rise of Middle East carriers is the speed of that change, although in the case of Emirates it has taken the airline 27 years to reach its dominant position today.

And that change has been accelerated by the dramatic evolution of the long-range super twins in the form of the 777-300ER and -200LR, both of which owe their performance to Emirates president Tim Clark.
