Lt Gen Chris Bogdan on executing on, not cheerleading for, the F-35 program

Straight off the bat, the head of the Joint Strike Fighter program didn’t mince his words.

“I think the first point I’d like to make overall is don’t expect me to be [a] cheerleader for the F-35 program. That’s not my job. My job is to execute this program,” so began Lieutenant General Chris Bogdan, the new head of the JSF Program Office – or JPO – and as such the man in charge of overseeing the world’s largest defence project, in an extensive and blunt media briefing at the Avalon Airshow on February 27.
