Air New Zealand subsidiary Mount Cook Airline re-introduces scheduled services to its birthplace

Turangiwaiwai in Maori means one’s spiritual home. For the Mount Cook Airline Group that spiritual home is Mt Cook airfield nestled in the Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand.

The Mount Cook Company began operations in the early 1900s. In those days the company operated service cars then later buses over the tourist routes of the South Island, with the destination of the Hermitage Hotel at Mt Cook being the main focus of its operations.
