The first 777 to be built under the increased production rate of 8.3 aircraft a month – or 100 a year – has rolled off the Everett production line.

The Korean Air 777 freighter, which will be delivered in February, was constructed in 48 days using new production methods such as ‘flex-track’ drilling of body and wing panels, automated floor drilling and wing painting.

777 production has increased twice in the last 31 months, first from five to seven a month and now to an all-time high of 8.3.  A total of 1,431 777s has been ordered by 66 customers.
