Aeromil Pacific will expand its operations at Bankstown Airport with the Cessna dealer recently signing an agreement to lease a larger hangar which will house its maintenance, sales, corporate and charter operations and professional services operations.

“With ever increasing costs to business aviation using Sydney International Airport, we have taken this significant step in order to provide much greater capacity to support our Cessna and other business aircraft customers with maintenance, hangarage, secure parking and importantly, apron availability and FBO facilities at Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown,” said Aeromil’s managing director Steve Padgett. “Through the use of our new facilities, we intend to make it substantially easier for domestic and international business aircraft to use Bankstown, as a viable and attractive alternative destination in Sydney.”

The new facility is at the heritage listed Site 521, which is adjacent to the Bankstown Airport Passenger Terminal and has a hangar space of 3000 square metres, dedicated apron aircraft parking and secure car parking for clients and staff. Restoration works are currently being done to the hangar, but Aeromil expects to move into the site from late 2010.
