Hawker Beechcraft announced on February 2 that it has delivered the first four T-6A military trainer aircraft to the Iraqi Air Force.
“With the T-6A, the Iraqi Air Force now has the most successful primary trainer in the world at its fingertips,” said Jim Maslowski, president, US and international government business. “These aircraft will play a vital role in strengthening the Iraqi Air Force and providing training in support of the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.”

HBC has been contracted to deliver 15 aircraft as well as ground based training systems, spares, contract logistics support, maintenance, post production support and technical publications. The aircraft package was purchased under a government-to-government agreement between Iraq and the US.
