Visitors to the 2015 Avalon Airshow are in for a treat with confirmation the F-22 Raptor will return to delight crowds with a flying display.
Airshow organisers, who describe the aircraft as an “awesome piece of military hardware”, said on Thursday a US Air Force Raptor Display Team will make the trip from its Langley base to Avalon with two aircraft, two pilots and a support crew.

Great news for the airshow. Hopefully a sign of more exciting announcements to come!

I’d like to see an F-35 in action at the airshow given that is what the RAAF are actually going to be using.
Also hoping Airbus send an A350 demo aircraft.

This is great news, the Raptor display at Avalon 2013 was a very exciting watch indeed!
I will look forward to more SuperBug antics and presume the stalwart Viper will be in attendance too? Lets hope for some Malaysian Flanker action, maybe even a Thai Gripen , a Singaporean 15 display would be awesome too. Fingers crossed.

It will be great to see some F-15Cs from 18th FW come back to Avalon. If not the USAF Eagles, how about Singapore AF F-15SG’s.
