Sir Richard Branson has released a video paying tribute to Virgin Australia’s staff following the airline’s collapse into administration, but also made a pointed attack on the government.

The Transport Workers Union has made a final appeal to the government to intervene to help save Virgin Australia after the business collapsed into administration.

Virgin Australia has finally confirmed to the ASX that it has entered voluntary administration. 

Virgin Australia is set to enter voluntary administration after a crunch meeting of its board of directors on Monday, according to reports.
