The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has recovered black boxes from both the American Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 passenger jet and the US Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter involved in the incident, which killed all 67 people on board both aircraft.
The union said the fresh deal would see pay rises of up to 12 per cent over two years alongside improvements to rostering and rest periods.
The new LAX service will operate three times weekly from December using the carrier’s fleet of 275-seat A350-900 aircraft.
The jet was carrying 64 people when the incident occurred at Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington on Thursday, sparking a huge search and rescue operation.
The fighter jet, landing gear extended in the footage, fell in an uncontrolled flat spin, passing in front of its own ejected pilot before striking the ground and exploding near an aircraft runway at the base on 28 January.
The previous look was launched in 2013 and designed by Paris-based Australian Martin Grant, with the new outfit set to be unveiled in 2027.
