Near Miss Blamed on Atc Air traffic control procedures at Wellington airport have been blamed for a near miss involving a Boeing 737 carrying 66 passengers and crew and a smaller aircraft. The Air New Zealand 737 and a Piper Tomahawk passed in opposite directions about 350m apart and avoided a collision only by chance.
