Aviation Australia CEO Glenn Ryan AM will participate in a panel session at the Australian Aviation Summit alongside other industry heavyweights about how the industry could attract the next generation into aviation.
Emily McMillan will appear alongside a host of other industry big-hitters at the event, including Western Sydney Airport’s CEO Simon Hickey, Boeing’s Dr Kimberly Camrass, Virgin Australia’s Daniel Dott and Airservices’ interim chief executive Rob Sharp.
Duncan Milne has been appointed as Babcock Australasia’s managing director aviation and critical services, after two decades of working in senior leadership roles across the aviation and defence industries.
Dr Kimberly Camrass, the aerospace giant’s regional lead on sustainability, will speak on stage alongside the domestic airline’s head of fuel and decarbonisation, Daniel Dott.
The Superstars of STEM program, which is also open to non-binary people, has already delivered media training to 210 people since its launch in 2017. The scheme is backed by Defence, the Department of Science, and Google and is overseen by Science & Technology Australia.
Robert K. 'Kelly' Ortberg, who has an engineering background and over 35 years of aerospace experience, will replace Dave Calhoun after the latter announced his exit in March. It comes as airlines such as Virgin Australia grapple with a shortage of Boeing aircraft.
