The family of a 12-year-old girl killed in a July 2020 helicopter crash in Broome has called for better oversight and regulation after an ATSB investigation concluded the accident could have been prevented.
The company said it was cleared by CASA to resume operations “some weeks ago” after passing safety assessments and paid tribute to those who lost their lives.
An ATSB report on the November 2022 accident near Victoria’s Moorabbin Airport, involving Hughes 269C three-seat light helicopter, was unable to find the cause of the defect.
