Labor has pledged $60 million to upgrade Hobart Airport in order to service long-haul aircraft, supporting international widebody freight and passenger flights, should they clinch the coming election.

Airfares on flights between Australia and New Zealand should drop in the coming months despite high fuel costs, as more travellers get moving, said Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran.

The aircraft on the schedule include an Orion, Mustang, Harvard, and Huey Helicopter, which will fly over the South Coast from Kiama, Kangaroo Valley and Wollongong, while a Tracker, Dakota, and Caribou will fly past Cronulla, Coogee and Sydney City.
