To mark its participation in Excercise Pitch Black, the German Air Force painted one of its Eurofighters in a special livery that included the Australian and Japanese flags.
The airline said the facility would house eight flight simulators and train 4,5000 new and current pilots – including those set to fly Project Sunrise direct flights from London to Sydney.
Train services will directly connect the airport to two stations in the suburbs of Redcliffe and High Wycombe and are expected to carry 20,000 people a day in its first year of operation.
