The last model to roll off the production line was a 747-8 Freighter variant and marked the 1,574th Jumbo Jet built. Production of the ‘Queen of the Skies’ began in 1967 and spanned a remarkable 54 years.

Qantas and Jetstar ended 2022 with 61 per cent of the domestic market, while Virgin drew 33.6 per cent of all passengers and Rex 5.3 per cent.

The British headquartered company’s CEO, Steve Wadey, said the acquisition further strengthens its long-term strategic partnership with the ADF.
