The first of 12 three-carriage Siemens trains was unloaded at Port Kembla last week and trucked to the new Stabling and Maintenance Facility at Orchard Hills for assembly, having travelled 23,000 kilometres by ship from Vienna.

The purpose-built facility will house the National Integrated Air and Missile Defence Ecosystem, designed to support next-generation IAMD systems and bolster Australia’s sovereign defence capability.

The high-performance single-engine, two-seater turboprop has been put up for sale by California aircraft seller Platinum Fighter Sales but is registered in Australia as VH-YMK and is being sold out of NSW.

The company has reportedly commenced deliveries of 20 AU4 propulsion systems to Sovereign Propulsion Systems, according to information released earlier this week.

The New Zealand-based air cargo operators say that this latest deal is not only successful in supporting international relations but also in supporting the company’s wider long-term investment plans.
