CIMIC Group executive chairman Juan Santamaria said, “This important program of works supports the Australian Defence Force’s ability to operate from Australia’s northern bases.”

The design stage for the works is scheduled to commence early this year, subject to government approvals, before transitioning to construction in mid-2025, with an expected completion date in mid-2028.

CPB Contractors managing director Jason Spears added, “CPB Contractors’ expertise and experience will ensure the package of works is delivered in line with all operational and security requirements. We are focused on delivering expanded, fit-for-purpose facilities to support and serve the Australian Army’s increasing numbers and spatial needs.”
