Wing, which is owned by Google parent company Alphabet, is partnering with Logan’s Hyperdome Shopping Centre for a DoorDash drone delivery hub. The service will be available from Hyperdome to 17 nearby suburbs, nine of which are new.

The business said it took the decision because it is now focusing on servicing businesses based out of shopping centres, with the devices taking off from the building’s roof. 

In a letter to the editor published in Western Australian newspapers, the carrier said it is “truly sorry” for recent disruptions in the state and said it is continuing to “explore all options” to reduce inconvenience to passengers.
