The second Qantas 787-9, msn 39039/641, was registered VH‑ZNB on November 13 and operated its maiden flight on November 30, from Paine Field to Moses Lake and return. VH-ZNB Waltzing Matilda was then delivered to Qantas in Melbourne on December 10.
787-9 VH-ZNC msn 39040/655 is planned for delivery to Qantas in mid-January.
