Sikorsky Australia is launching a refurbishment program that will see it repurposing US Army helicopters for commercial use. Meanwhile, the company is ramping up its support for the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet of ‘Romeo’ model Seahawks

Sikorsky Helitech, now known as Sikorsky Australia, is set to repurpose former US Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters that will be operated by StarFlight Australia as firefighting assets.

Importantly, this refurbishment program is considered to be unique in the sense that it has the stamp of approval from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in the US.
