New fatigue regs fly in the face of CASA being a firm, fair and consistent regulator
CASA has published an excellent regulatory development philosophy, Directive 01/2015 and the recent sector risk profile workshops followed this philosophy well.
However, the proposed Civil Aviation Order (CAO) 48. 1 on Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) is totally inconsistent with this new regulatory philosophy and totally out of step with the commendable approach taken in the development of the sector risk profiles.
