Air NZ plans capacity boost, schedule changes to domestic network

ATR turboprops for Christchurch-Wellington trunk route gets ratings lift after big first half profit

Air New Zealand is planning a significant shakeup to its domestic network involving additional capacity on main trunk and regional routes, as well as schedule improvements designed to boost connectivity to its international hubs.

The changes, which were understood to have taken at least six months in planning, were outlined in notices to travel agents on April 6 and were expected to be progressively rolled out from the start of May.
