Fokker Eindecker flies!
The Australian Vintage Aviation Society’s Fokker E. III Eindecker replica, ‘345/16’, took to the air for the first time from Caboolture on May 5.
Placed on the RA-Aus register on February 5 as 19-8593 with c/n 8, the Fokker’s airframe had been built in Germany while its rotary engine is a new-build powerplant manufactured by Classic Aero Machining Service (CAMS) at Blenheim, New Zealand.
