The launch event of the demonstration tour will be held at Aeromil Pacific’s facility at Sunshine Coast Airport on April 28.
Aeromil Pacific is Cessna’s authorised sales representative for the manufacturer’s single-engine range of aircraft in Australia.
The TTx has all-composite body and wing and is powered by a twin-turbocharged TSIO-550-C six-cylinder engine from Continental. It features a four-passenger cabin and at 235 knots was the fastest aircraft in its class, Aeromil said.
“The speed, performance and handling characteristics along with the range, will offer private and business aviators an outstanding aircraft for Australia,” Aeromil Pacific managing director Steve Padgett said in a statement.

says:Looks like the kind of aircraft Cessna should have been producing 25 years ago. Certainly when they restarted production with such thirsty for fuel,. old technology and magneto ignition there were diesel aero engines avaible but the product liability saga most likely made them gun shy. It shows the level of damage that laywers and litigants can do to an entire industy when there’s money to be gained through lawsuits.

says:Dee,
It’s referring to two turbo chargers, not two engines!
Dee
says:PHS,
Not what is said before it was corrected.

Damian Lataan
says:Looks a bit like a Beagle Pup from the 1960s.
Cessna’s TTx offering is a bit of a departure from their usual high wing single engine range.
Looks good though, but then so was the Pup in it’s day. The TSIO-550 motor makes the difference performance wise. I wonder how an upgraded Pup with the same motor would have compared. just a thought.
Jen Cluse
says:Looks remarkable similar to the Victa Aircruiser, but with a plastic wing.
I recall Cessna poo-pooing the viability of that design when they ‘proved’ to the trade commissioner (IIRC) way back when, that Victa were unfair competition to them, which eventually resulted in Victa closing down.
The Aircruiser design is currently under modernisation and redesign down in Cowra, by PG Aviation.
Their Brumby is an excellent design, and well built with operational economy a prime consideration.
Let’s wish them well.
