Register Review

Aero Adventure Aventura II XKP is the first of its type on the VH register although the local agent, Dieter Stuempfl, has his own aircraft on the RA-Aus register.
Designed by American Bob Bailey the Aventura is a development of the Advanced Aeromarine Buccaneer.
The aircraft comes in kit form from the Aero Adventure factory in Tavares, Florida and can be built in around 130 hours.

The high-wing amphibian’s hull is fibreglass and the wingtip floats are polyethylene.
The wing comprises an aluminium frame covered with a pre-sewn Dacron envelope which is shrunk onto the wing frame, while full-span ailerons and flaps are included.
A Rotax 912 is used in a pusher configuration behind the wing and above the rear fuselage.
The main wheels retract to the side of the fuselage for water landings and the tail wheel is steerable for land use, but there is no rudder for use while on the water.
