Piper Aircraft and the Continental Motors Group have announced they have been granted a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificate for a Centurion 2.0S diesel engine-powered Piper Archer.
Ground and flight tests on an Archer powered by the Technify Motors GmbH Centurion 2.0S 155hp (115kW) Jet-A compression ignition engine were conducted at Technify’s facility in Altenburg, Germany. The Centurion 2.0S engine is certified to use both Jet-A and diesel fuel and with the two fuels in any mixture ratio.
