Eurocopter re-brands as Airbus Helicopters
The world’s biggest manufacturer of helicopters, Eurocopter, was renamed Airbus Helicopters on January 8 as part of parent company EADS’s rebranding and consolidation of its enterprises under the new Airbus Group brand.
Airbus Helicopters has taken over the former Eurocopter product lines facilities and activities. While the EC prefix in most of the range’s designations signifies ‘Eurocopter’, the company says that at this stage the helicopter names and designations will remain unchanged.
