Given Australia’s remoteness from much of the rest of the world, it’s remarkable that its airlines’ long-haul business class seating isn’t class-leading.

While both Qantas and Virgin Australia offer a product with fully-flat seating that reclines to 180° rather than sliding you off at an angle, neither has direct aisle access for every passenger.
